We are pleased to announce the publication of the latest issue of ABC2: Journal of Architecture, Building, Construction, and Cities ABC2 Vol. 2026 No. 04, bringing together five studies that explore how digital tools are reshaping the built environment.

Younan, El-Kholei, and Yassein apply an integrated PSR–VIKOR framework to evaluate sustainability, equity, and governance in pandemic resilience pathways across Cairo and Alexandria. Gholami, Lak, and Zhong use satellite imagery and land surface temperature analysis to assess urban heat vulnerability in southern Mehrabad, Tehran. Aş Çemrek, Işıkdağ, Bekdaş, and Niğdeli introduce an AI-driven workflow that converts single photographs into detailed 3D building models for heritage documentation in Turkey. Najafi traces how game-engine technology has become foundational to city-scale digital twins in Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, and Riyadh. Finally, Omrani, Rashidian, and Banakar investigate digital traceability as a regulatory enabler for off-site construction in Australia.

The contributions to ABC2 Vol. 2026 No. 04 demonstrate how digital tools generate durable value when paired with institutional trust and regulatory recognition.
