Launch of ABC2: Journal of Architecture, Building, Construction, and Cities

2026-01-03

We are delighted to announce the launch of ABC2: Journal of Architecture, Building, Construction, and Cities, an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing high-quality research across the built environment. ABC2 responds to the growing complexity of global challenges—including climate change, rapid urbanisation, resource constraints, digital transformation, and social inequality—that demand integrated, transdisciplinary approaches to research and practice.

The journal provides a platform that brings together architecture, building science, construction management, and urban studies, fostering dialogue across disciplines that are often treated in isolation. ABC2 aims to cultivate inclusive “knowledge spaces” where theoretical insight, methodological innovation, and practical relevance intersect.

ABC2 is committed to scholarly excellence, ethical publishing, and global inclusivity. Contributions are welcomed from researchers, practitioners, and policymakers across diverse geographical regions and institutional contexts. By operating as a fully open-access journal, ABC2 ensures that knowledge addressing urgent built environment challenges is freely accessible to a global audience. Through rigorous peer review and a strong international editorial leadership, ABC2 seeks to shape future research agendas and support the development of more sustainable, resilient, and equitable built environments worldwide.
